Entries to Reopen May 12: Rip Curl GromSearch Oz Cup, Covered by Sun Bum

Due to unprecedented demand, the JustGo registration system experienced a second site-wide crash during the recent entry window. This was a system-wide issue originating from the JustGo platform.

Surfing NSW and Surfing Australia sincerely apologise for this disruption.

We can now confirm the new entry opening date and time for the event.

New Entry Schedule – Monday, May 12:

  • 10:00 AM – Entries open for U12 Female
  • 11:00 AM – Entries open for U12 Male
  • 12:00 PM – Entries open for U14 Female
  • 1:00 PM – Entries open for U14 Male
  • 2:00 PM – Entries open for U16 Female
  • 3:00 PM – Entries open for U16 Male 
  • 4:00 PM – Entries open for U18 Female
  • 5:00 PM – Entries open for U18 Male

To ensure a smoother experience, a further staggered entry schedule has been introduced.

This 6,500-point rated event follows the Surfing Australia Junior Guidelines, with a first in, best dressed entry process.

The event will take place at Coffs Harbour from the 17 –21 July.

Key Details:

  • Divisions: U12, U14, U16, U18
  • National Final Qualification: U12, U14, or U16 division 
  • International Final: Only U16 division 

Entry Process Overview:

Entries are accepted on a first in, best dressed basis. We recommend entering early to secure a spot, as divisions can fill quickly. 

Once a division reaches capacity: Additional entries will be placed on a waitlist. If a spot becomes available, it will be offered to the next competitor on the waitlist in order of entry.

You will receive an email regarding waitlist communications. 

  • First in, best dressed. Monday, May 12 live link.
  • Full division? You’ll be waitlisted in order of entry, and contacted via email if a spot has become available by Surfing NSW.
  • Wildcard entries:
    • 2 wildcards for divisions < 24 surfers
    • 4 wildcards for divisions ≥ 32 surfers
    • Allocated at discretion of Surfing NSW & Rip Curl.
