Byron Bay Boardriders have taken out the tenth edition of the Australian Boardriders northern NSW regional qualifier. Following a giant day of action-packed heats in two-foot waves at Diggers Beach.
The start-studded team from Byron Bay Boardriders was comprised of former NSW Junior State champion Dakota Walters, former world tour surfer Soli Baliey, Manon Pouget, Mac Brindley and Karl Woolcott.
Byron Bay Boardriders surfer Dakota Walters was the in-form surfer of the day, with his impressive ability to drop consist excellent scoring waves. In the Semi Final match up Walters was able to drop two 9-point rides (out of a possible 10) to help care his team into the final.
Byron Bay, Kingscliff, Coffs Harbour and Port Macquarie all have now qualified for the National final, which will be held on the 4th and 5th of February 2023 with the Location still to be confirmed.

2022/23 Australian Boardriders Battle has been bigger and better than ever since launching into its tenth season on the Gold Coast earlier this year.
