The Australian Boardriders Battle is the biggest grassroots boardriders event in Australian surfing history. It will involve more than 80 of Australia’s best boardriders clubs in eight State qualifying rounds and will culminate in a two day National Final for 42 clubs.

• NSW North Qualifier, 20 September 2025 – Coffs Harbour: Includes BRC from Far North Coast + North Coast + Mid-North Coast to Hawkes Nest. Registrations are open.

• NSW South Qualifier, 1 November 2025 – Cronulla: Includes BRC from Harbour Bridge to Southside + Sutherland + Illawarra + South Coast. TBD on registration open date.

• NSW Central Qualifier, 8 November 2025 – North Narrabeen: Includes BRC from Port Stephens to Newcastle + Central Coast + North Beaches to Harbour Bridge. TBD on registration open date.

The Format

BRC team of 5 individuals must comprise of: 

• 2 x Opens
• 1 x Female
• 1 x Junior (U18)
• 1 x Masters (Over 35)

The Prize Pool

• $24,000 prize money across 8 State events
• $112,900 prize money at the National Final
• $22,000 for the National Champions

National Final: Club Allocations by State

• 12 NSW Clubs (6 NSW North, 8 NSW Central, 8 NSW South)
• 8 QLD, 3 VIC, 3 WA, 2 SA, 2 TAS
• 2 Wildcards by application
