G’day troops, it is just about Beers and Cheers time for the Surfing NSW Crew who are shutting up shop on Friday 17 December, back on deck Tuesday 4 January, so if you need to get your insurance sorted prior to Christmas , you will need to extract the proverbial and get a wiggle on.
We are rolling out the $1,000.00 grants to all clubs who are insured and affiliated, plenty of time to get this sorted early in the new year so don’t stress.
I was lucky enough to be on commentary last weekend for the ABB southern elimination event, congrats to all clubs who competed, amazing surfing all day long in what can only be described as marginal conditions.
Scarborough got the cash in the final, edging out host club Jones Beach, with the Cronulla boys in 3rd and Maroubra United in 4th. So Scarborough, Jones’ and Cronulla have qualified for the ABB Final in Newie next year.

NSW South Coast Lifeguard Recruitment
Calling all South Coast surfers and beach enthusiasts! Australian Lifeguard Services (ALS) are looking at getting more surfers on board this summer to work with ALS.
This may appear to be a ‘dream job’, spending your working hours on some of the world‘s most beautiful beaches, but there’s more to being an ALS NSW lifeguard.
You must hold and maintain the valid qualifications, pass regular fitness and competency tests and be willing and able to take on the responsibility of keeping hundreds and perhaps thousands of beachgoers safe.

Have a cool yule, stay safe and see you in 2022 – hopefully a premiership year for the mighty Bunnies!
