RECOVERY GRANT FOR BOARDRIDER CLUBS AND SURF SCHOOLS

Published on 10/03/2022

Our thoughts are with all those affected by the devastating floods wreaking havoc on communities in SE Queensland and NSW. We hope that your club or school has not sustained too much damage. We wanted to draw your attention to a Recovery Grant that our insurer – Sportscover Australia, have put in place for affected clubs.

Following their response to the 2020 bushfire emergency and last year’s East Coast floods, Sportscover Australia is compelled to contribute to the recovery effort in support of the communities currently being ravaged by floods. Accordingly, Sportscover wish to extend the following offer of assistance to your associations and affiliated clubs covered under the national insurance program. Sportscover Australia will make available up to 50 unconditional grants of $500 to assist eligible sports associations, sports clubs, gymnasiums and recreational facilities replace sports equipment lost as a result of the February-March 2022 floods.

We appreciate that applying for a grant may not be a priority for the people who have been most affected by the floods. To apply for a grant please complete and return the attached form to Marsh. The process is simple and should not take longer than 5 minutes. A club does not need to have their property insurance with Marsh or Sportscover in order to access the grant.
