Australia’s top young surfers took over the wave pool for the Rip Curl GromSearch Final. Among the crowd was reigning Women’s World Champion Molly Picklum, who watched the next generation of Aussie talent make their mark.
Round One Highlights
Under 16 Boys
The day opened strong with Locana Cullen, fresh off his Stab High win, dropping a 9.43 before landing a perfect 10 to lock in his spot in the final six.
Under 16 Girls
Talia Tebb led early with a 9.33 and 7.43, while Eliza Richardson built consistency with 7.63 and 8.83. Both advanced to the final.
Under 14 Boys
Lennox Lindsay brought power and precision, scoring 8.63 and 8.67 to secure his place in the final six.
Under 14 Girls
Mila Grainger turned heads, including Molly Picklum’s, with scores of 9.17 and 8.07 that confirmed her as one to watch.
Under 12 Boys & Girls
The youngest surfers brought serious heat. Hayden Mee scored 9.00 and 7.33, while Sage Fleming posted 8.07 and 7.93, both earning spots in their finals.

Under 12 Girls
Sage Fleming carried her form through to the final, scoring a 16.00 total to claim the win ahead of Everly Morgan and Chloe Grainger.
Under 12 Boys
With poise beyond his years, Hayden Mee dominated with a 16.87 total to take the title. Saxon King and Levi Lowe finished second and third.
Under 14 Girls
Mila Grainger backed up her earlier performance with another standout heat to take the win over Novah Holmes and Ily Frazer.
Under 14 Boys
A nail-biter to the end, Lennox Lindsay edged out Tully Crompton by just 0.056 points in one of the closest heats of the day.
Under 16 Girls
In a final stacked with talent, Eliza Richardson saved her best for last, posting 9.50 and 8.73 to narrowly top Talia Tebb, who had earlier dropped a 9.83 and 8.00. The win books Eliza’s ticket to the World GromSearch Final in France this November.
Under 16 Boys
Capping off a dominant campaign, Locana Cullen sealed the deal with another perfect 10 and a 9.43 to claim both the title and his place at the World Final.
