SURFING AUSTRALIA NATIONAL JUNIOR RANKINGS POINTS STRUCTURE CHANGES

Due to the current health orders across Australia and the border restrictions imposed on all States, Surfing Australia, and its State branches have revisited the current landscape of upcoming events in regards to points structure for the Surfing Australia National Junior Rankings.

Due to the limitations on competitors being able to compete equally and fairly Australia wide and the possibility of major events being cancelled due to Covid 19 the following events points weightings have been revised to provide an equal playing field across all States and competitors across all age divisions are able to obtain their top counting results for the 2021 Surfing Australia National Junior Rankings ending December 31.

The Yeti Australian Junior Online Surf Championships – Sept 13 – Oct 29, 2021 ratings allocation have been revised to a 7500pt event for first place across all age disciplines descending respectfully, The Skull Candy Oz Grom Open – Nov 9 – 14, 2021 and the Billabong Occy Grom Comps – Sept 20 – 23, 2021 ratings allocation have been revised to a 6500pt event for first place across all age disciplines descending respectfully.

The top counting results for each division finishing December 31, 2021, are as follows;

18’S (JNR MEN & WOMEN) BEST 2 RESULTS

16’S (JNR MEN & WOMEN) BEST 3 RESULTS

14’S (JNR BOYS & GIRLS) BEST 3 RESULTS

12’S (JNR BOYS & GIRLS) BEST 3 RESULTS

10’S (JNR BOYS & GIRLS) BEST 2 RESULTS

8’S (JNR BOYS & GIRLS) BEST 2 RESULTS   

Please note entry into all events is optional and the choice to compete is on the competitor, Surfing Australia and all State branches urge competitors to stay safe during this time and that there will be plenty of opportunities to obtain counting results on the national rankings and to please adhere to Public Health orders in place in your respective LGA or State.

NOTE: Due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation and Surfing Australia’s commitment to comply with all State and Federal regulations, series dates are subject to change at any time.
