The Bell has been rung with quite a few upsets along the way and the odd dummy spit to top it off. The circus has packed up and off to the Wild West, hoping for some solid waves, will see the troops having to dust off some bigger boards.

9th May and the Challenger Series is back in Sydney at what can only be described as the spiritual home of Pro Surfing, North Narra, had some unbelievable waves last year when North Narra turned it on.

At the other end of the competitive spectrum, Junior Regional Titles are currently under way across the state, check out the event calendar at www.surfingnsw.com.au entries available on line.

Any frothing grom in your ranks with hopes and aspirations of wanting to be the next Steph or Mick, this is the start of that journey.

Showing my age, but many years ago, I was fortunate enough to be at the NSW Junior Titles in Coffs Harbour, on commentary and saw two young groms, Sally Fitz and Owen Wright burst on to the scene, the rest is history.

Hope your club has a great 2024, plenty of great waves with a few laughs and the occasional beer to round out comp day!
