VW State Classic 2025: Event Wrap, Results, and Aussie Titles

From Sawtell to Arrawarra, the VW State Classic 2025 brought together more than 650 of NSW’s top surfers across five disciplines. Spanning Under 12s to Over 70s, it was Surfing NSW’s biggest competitor event to date.

  • The oldest competitor was 72 years old, the youngest just 7.
  • A total of 361 heats were contested.
  • 224 NSW athletes advanced to the Australian Titles.

A huge thank you to Coffs Harbour City Council, with a special mention to Mayor Nikki for her support and presence throughout the week. Aanuka Beach House, the local boardriders clubs, and the broader Coffs community helped make this event what it was. We’re grateful to have shared your coastline and local breaks.

Thanks to our major partner Volkswagen, and supporting partners Club Med, URBNSURF, and Coopers Surf. Your backing played a key role in bringing this event to life, and to Wahu, Solmates and Bodiez Water for their additional product support for competitors.

If you’re sharing event photos publicly, please remember to credit the photographers who captured the magic:

Bosko, James Robertson, Kyle Chapman, and don’t forget to tag Surfing NSW as well. Event wrap video dropping soon…
