This past Saturday we hosted our Longboard Development Camp for the first time in over a decade. The day brought the next generation of surfers closer to high performance. Tate Williams led stretching, while Jason Livingston (17+ Aussie Titles) coached juniors on high-performance technique and boards. WSL athletes Declan Wyton focused on drop-knee maneuvers and Tully White on nose rides. The session highlighted the difference between traditional and high-performance techniques, with Jason giving everyone a go on his high-performance board.

“Learning from them, catching a wave, coming back in and receiving feedback…they’ve been our age and have so much experience. We’re stoked to be out there and for this opportunity,” said Tara Hall from Reef Riders

It was a full-circle moment for Declan and Tully, who once trained as groms and are now giving back to the next gen.

The day centered around participation in junior longboard, bringing the community together from across NSW, and welcomed new members to the clubs. Running alongside, the Manly Malibu Boardriders BRC 4 Ways Challenge, rounding out an epic Saturday.
