The 2026 Rip Curl GromSearch Oz Cup returns with fresh energy and a national focus, bringing together Australia’s best junior surfers for five days of elite competition in Coffs Harbour from 15 – 19 July 2026.

As a key fixture in the Surfing Australia Junior Pathway, the event will feature divisions from Under 12 through to Under 18, giving emerging talent the chance to earn national ranking points and progress to the National Final.

This is a 5,500-rated event on the Surfing Australia Junior Series and will operate on a first in, best dressed basis. Please pay attention to the event entry open and close dates, as well as waitlist details below, before trying to register for the event. 

The top four finishers in the U12, U14 and U16 divisions will secure a place at the National Rip Curl GromSearch Oz Cup Finals.

Please note this event operates on a first in, best dressed basis. Once an event reaches capacity, any additional entrants will automatically be placed on a waitlist. Following the close of entries, waitlisted competitors will be contacted via the event email if a place becomes available and they are successfully offered a spot in the competition.

• U12 Boys (Cannot turn 12 in 2026) – Round of 32

*Age Clarification: Competitors must be ‘under age’ as of the 31st December 2026

Entry Conditions

While we aim to give every competitor the best opportunity to compete in this event, the event has a maximum competition window of 5 days and round sizes will be capped accordingly.
